Gypsum is a naturally occurring sedimentary rock, found deep under the earth surface, that is used in the construction, defence, medical, chemical and mould manufacturing industries.
Sincap possesses one of the largest reserves of gypsum in the Shandong Province. We hold the sole and exclusive mining rights to a concession area of around 3.0km² in Dawenkou Gypsum District in Shandong Province, which has a large sedimentary gypsum deposit with well-defined mineral resources and ore reserves. We extract gypsum from two mines, which have a total production capacity of up to 600,000 tonnes per annum, and sell it either in unprocessed block form, or in powder form upon further processing at our powder plant.
Our Group is able to produce various grades of gypsum as follows:
- Top-grade crystalline gypsum, which has a gypsum content of not less than 98%. Top-grade crystalline gypsum is usually used for the production of precision moulds for aeronautical and defence industries, dental moulds for the medical industry, and as a coagulant in cosmetics.
- Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, and Grade 4 white gypsum. White gypsum is a key component in construction materials, and is used for the manufacture of cement, wallboards and other building materials.
We employ a stringent quality assurance system encompassing checks from extraction to delivery to ensure the grade, quality and quantity of our gypsum meet customer requirements. We also conduct random testing to ensure that the required quality and quantity are maintained during processing, before storage and before delivery.
Sincap Group also holds exploration rights to further reserves of about 2.42km² in the Xia Jia Ma Zhuang Mineralised Block, which we hope to convert into a mining licence upon the finalisation of a geological report.
